A program tailored to the students' needs will help foster curiosity and interest in opera, thereby offering a joyful first encounter with the genre to children and teenagers, the protagonists of the future

KNO Vocal Competition

KNO Vocal Competition is designed to discover the next generation of opera stars global stages.

The four winners of the competition, including the grand prize winner of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award who receives KRW 5Mil in cash through a fair evaluation process for the preliminaries and finals.

The winners are also given opportunity to participate in a variety of special projects including scheduled performances and local performances, and school operas hosted by KNO

Since 2018, the finalists of international competition have been sponsored by the Woon Hyung Lee Foundation with free airline tickets to provide a foothold for young singers with talent to advance to the world stages

Final: Tentatively scheduled in July 2021, Seoul Arts Center

Opera Studio

It is an educational program for young musicians to systematically gain specialized knowledge and expertise on music and acting required to opera professionals. It is designed to discover outstanding Korean talents and provide them with stage experiences, as well as exchange with overseas theaters and opportunities to advance abroad.

We also plan to hold opera classes and various lecture programs for the general public who love opera.

Vocal academy, conducting academy, directing academy, various master classes, opera classes, etc.

KNO Auditions

KNO audition is the entrance gate for an opportunity to perform in various events such as local performances including regular performances of the Korea National Opera and school operas.

It is a program through which anyone can be the star of the KNO stages solely with skills and talent, regardless of educational and regional background.
